FAQ

Common questions

Do you have an office?

No. Valley Notary Services is mobile only. There is no walk-in location. We meet you at home, your workplace, a hospital, a coffee shop, or the closing table.

Where do you travel?

Primarily Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, Salida, Riverbank, Oakdale, and the broader Stanislaus County / Central Valley area. Ask if your city is nearby — we’ll confirm travel before booking.

What ID do I need?

Each signer must present valid, current photo identification that meets California notary requirements (for example, a driver’s license, state ID, or passport). Bring original IDs — not photocopies.

Should documents be signed before the appointment?

No. Leave signature lines blank until the notary is present. Pre-signed documents typically cannot be notarized.

Who needs to be present?

Everyone who must sign or appear before the notary should be present with their ID. For some documents, witnesses may also be required — check your paperwork or ask your escrow officer or attorney.

Do you handle loan and escrow packages?

Yes. We complete mobile loan signings and real estate closing packages at your location, with careful attention to lender timelines and instructions.

Can you come to a hospital, home, or workplace?

Yes. Hospital, home, workplace, I-9, and other on-site visits are the core of this practice. Tell us the meeting spot when you book.

Can you give legal advice?

No. We are a California Notary Public, not an attorney. We cannot give legal advice or draft legal documents. We notarize documents you bring that are ready for a notarial act.

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

Weekdays we travel 8:00 AM–7:00 PM. Saturdays are by appointment; Sundays are limited to urgent travel when available. These are appointment windows, not office hours.
